Research

Getting involved in research is a great way to not only learn more about neuroscience, but also methods being used in the field. It also can be important  career development for students hoping to study neuroscience further, in graduate or medical school.

A great way to get involved is looking at professors’ websites and finding research that interests you. Rice students not only work in labs on campus, but also at Baylor College of Medicine and UT Health Sciences. Course credit for independent research in neuroscience count towards the neuroscience major and minor and may count for related majors, cognitive sciences, psychology, and biochemistry.

Feel free to reach out to us with questions or to be added to our listserv! We email opportunities about working in the neuroscience labs or participating in experiments as we hear about them.
